The summer session for high school students will be extended until Aug. 6. All high school students should continue to work on their summer courses during this extended time period.

The summer school session for K-8 students ends July 17. Parents who need to return school issued laptops can pick up their child's Final Report Card from their school sites beginning July 21. Report cards for any student who did not require technology will be mailed to the address on file.

Summer school provides a valuable opportunity for students who have been retained to address unfinished learning and to be considered for promotion to the next grade level. This year, in grades K-8, virtual instruction will be conducted by teachers utilizing the Zoom and Microsoft Teams platforms. K-8 Students must meet all summer school requirements to be promoted to the next grade. Virtual participation (100%) is required.

High school credit recovery courses will be offered virtually through Edgenuity (E2020). Students must complete the entire coursework (100%) with a passing score in E2020 to receive credit. Highly qualified teachers will be available virtually each day throughout the summer session to assist students.

Summer school is being provided for St. John the Baptist Parish Public School students in grades K-12 at NO COST. For those students in grades 9-12, students may only enroll in a maximum of two courses for credit recovery. Courses for advancement will not be offered.
