Child Nutrition Program

The goal of the Child Nutrition Program is to serve high quality, low cost, nutritious meals to all students and staff in the most efficient way possible.

Fifty-Three employees in 11 schools serve nearly 95,000 lunches and almost 61,000 breakfasts each month. The School Breakfast Program, Alternative Breakfast Programs, School Lunch Program, After School Snack Program, Dinner Meal Program, the Department of Defense Fruit and Vegetable Program and contract meals are all handled by this department.

Healthy options for students include skim milk, flavored and unflavored milk, low - fat salad dressings, low-fat entrees and meals, fat-free gravies, fresh and chilled fruit, whole grains, smart snacks, low-fat cheese and entree salads.

Each of our schools undergoes two state health inspections each year and our employees are trained yearly in Food Service Safety, Sanitation and how to handle the Civil Rights of others.
