St. John the Baptist Parish Schools Recognized Among Top 5 Improving School Districts in LEAP Performance

St. John the Baptist Parish Public Schools is proud to announce statewide recognition for academic excellence and improvement based on the 2024–2025 LEAP results!

The Louisiana Department of Education (LDOE) has named SJBP as one of the Top Improving Systems in the state in two major categories:

🏆 #3 in the State for Overall Growth in Grades 3–8 Mastery+
🏆 #5 in the State for Overall Growth in Grades 3–12 Mastery+

“This is an incredible moment for our district and a testament to the resilience of our students, the hard work of our educators, and the strength of our community,” said Superintendent Dr. Cleo Perry, Jr. “We are proud to be recognized by the state for our rapid progress and we are committed to continuing this upward climb.”

These recognitions come on the heels of strong gains across multiple subjects and grade levels, with measurable increases in students scoring Mastery and Above in core content areas. The district’s focus on high expectations, instructional excellence, and student achievement is clearly paying off.
