About Us

St. John the Baptist Parish School District strives to be an exemplary district working "As One" to fulfill the educational needs of our students and community. We believe that parent participation is key to student success; our new website is designed to provide parents with all the information they need to be active participants in their student’s education. You will find that the site works just as well on mobile devices as it does on a desktop so you can find information on the go.

Superintendent’s Message

Welcome to the 2022-2023 school year! “THE YEAR” that St. John the Baptist Parish Schools will show the state of Louisiana that we are on a “Journey to Excellence.”  Although my tenure here has been short, the one thing that is strongly evident is that we have the most resilient and passionate staff, students, families, and community.  We have overcome challenges that only a few can say they’ve faced and won. As we embark on a new school year, a year of excellence, we are in this together.  We are here to be models of excellence. We are here to show our students that we believe in them and that they can accomplish anything by going on this journey to excellence with us.  Lawrence Miller said, “Excellence is not an accomplishment.  It is a spirit, a never-ending process.”  St. John the Baptist staff, students, families, and community have shown we have that SPIRIT.  Let’s keep the momentum going!!!
