Students at West St. John Elementary will be bundled up and ready for the cold this year thanks to a partnership between Operation Warm and Marathon Petroleum.
On Tuesday, November 5, at 9:00 a.m., every West St. John Elementary student will receive a brand-new winter coat through the Operation Warm program, which aims to provide children not only with warmth, but also with confidence and hope.
During the event, students will get to choose from different colors and styles, and volunteers from Marathon will be on campus to help with fittings and distribution.
Operation Warm has provided millions of coats and shoes to children across North America, working with community partners to ensure kids have what they need to stay comfortable and focused in school. Marathon’s support brings that mission to life here in St. John the Baptist Parish.
The coat giveaway will take place at West St. John Elementary School in Edgard, Louisiana.
