and look at Cheryl's been on the job all day uh call to order uh we're going to have um who would like to do the invocation Mr Miller can you do the invocation pray father thank you for this day thank you for uh the opportunity to see a new day a new week and also the opportunity to gather to do your business tonight we ask that pray we pray that you would give us Direction and Clarity on the decisions we need to make but also allow us to be able to walk unified and everything that we do in Jesus name we pray amen amen um Trisha want to leave us in the pledge congratulations to the flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands 1 nation under God indivisible with liberty and justice for all we are not going to be the problem roll call Miss Holden attention Mr Burrell Miss Trish here Mr Morris here Mr francese here miss Roselle here Mr Mamou Mr Wallace here miss Mitchell Williams Miss vicknair missam here 6 present 5 absent should be 7 present right yes I'm sorry about that 7 present 4 remember I taught math yes all right we're good thank you um item number 3 public comment Mr Anthony Miller requests board approval to either accept or decline the hurricane Ida insurance settlement from Cedric requires action Mr Miller good evening members of the board uh this is a uh requests for you all to disposition the audit that was offered the report that was offered at the last board meeting in January from Cedric that is essentially uh found another an additional um total of about 4.1 million dollars in payouts from uh the storm that occurred after that meeting the only change that seeing those updates to the board president as well as to Dr Perry was there was about uh forty thousand dollars of additional um funds that were uh presented by Cedric to cover some of the ceiling tile damage and things like that that had occurred at 1 of the locations so the total sum sum is still approximately uh 4.1 million you all should have the full auto report um that came from Cedric it was uh emailed the actually the night of the board meeting um to you all you did you email that to us okay go ahead I'd like to make a motion to uh except hurricane Ida insurance settlement from sedick a motion by Miss Trish do we have a second second by Miss Holden board members so they would go back they you know we could ask them to um take a look at it to if they're I mean I'm sure at this point they would ask for um any specifics or details about specific things that we would ask them to re-evaluate you wait but uh the bigger piece is the more time we take in determining this piece um we are delaying formerly having FEMA begin to step into do their part of it so it's kind of a I gotta take not yeah not to get too political I would I I wouldn't necessarily disagree with you I think that the benefit that we have now is that we've had some informal talks I've had several informal conversations with FEMA and they've already started look in anticipation or projection of how this decision or this will turn out with Cedric have already started looking at some things so once we're ready for them to formally start they have a good Baseline of things to start with the longer we delay that with some of the other factors that are now in play uh I've had meetings since November with members of FEMA I'm sorry yeah yeah they do I I agree but um you know anybody else know any other comments okay um if if we can um go ahead and have roll call Miss Holden yes Miss Trish yes Mr Morris yes Mr franchise yes Miss friselle yes Mr Wallace Miss Mitchell Williams yes Miss yes and before we adjourn I'd like to thank councilman Torres for uh taken the time to come for our very quick meeting today thank you very much um any uh other items we're adjourned thank you
